Google AdSense Account Approval Process- 2025

174Shares

Update: I updated This article in August 2022 with the new AdSense account approval process.

It’s pointless to mention again that AdSense is one of the best contextual advertising networks. Until now, the AdSense approval process was simple: You create a new AdSense account, your account is reviewed, The AdSense team accepts your application, and you can implement ads on your site and start making money.

From now on, AdSense has changed the AdSense approval process and made this easy for new publishers.

Here is the new account AdSense approval process:

  1. Ensure your website is compatible with AdSense
  2. Sign up for an AdSense account
  3. Add the AdSense code on your website
  4. AdSense team review and approve/reject your website in 2-3 days
  5. AdSense team will ask you to verify your identity
  6. Add Payment information to get paid (Payment threshold is $100)

Once you add the code on your blog, that will show blank ads. Here is a video that shows how to create your first AdSense ad unit:

In a typical scenario, it would take 48 hours to review your application. Once your application is approved, it would start showing ads on your blog & you will start making money.

Here is the process for AdSense approval:

  • Register for an AdSense account by going to AdSense.com. Provide all the correct information about your Name, Address, and Website URL.
  • Login to your AdSense account, and create AdSense codes. Place the codes in your blog sidebar.
  • Ads will show as blank until the final approval process doesn’t finish. It may take up to 2 weeks for approval. Make sure you don’t remove the ads.
  • After the final AdSense approval, you will get a confirmation email.
  • Once your AdSense earning reaches $10, AdSense will mail you a PIN to your address.
  • Login to your AdSense account, and enter the Pin once you receive it.
  • Congrats you have completed all the steps. Once your account reaches $100, Google will send you or wire your earning. I recommend you to enable direct bank transfer for AdSense payments.

Though this will certainly help in domain ownership verification and moreover those who are signing up using someone else website, might find it tough to get into AdSense. If they still reject your account, it’s time to try out AdSense alternatives.

Have you signed up for AdSense recently? How was your experience with the new AdSense approval process?

Here is a video that will help you in adding AdSense codes on your WordPress blog.

I am getting this warning from google.

How to find on which website this code is running.

In the past 7 days, your ad code has appeared a significant number of times on sites you don’t own. To avoid lost revenue, make sure to add these sites to your owned sites list in Site Management.

If you have placed your ad code to some other blog, and that is yours then add that blog/site to your site list.

Adsense has continued to remain a giant among ad networks, Please i kindly do wish to ask, alot of people have preference for a USA adsense account, what is the difference between a USA adsense account and a non-USA adsense account???

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hey Benny,

The difference is only in the payment method that’s all. The ads are displayed based on which country you click from not the type or address of the account

The AdSense payment cycle is monthly. You accrue estimated earnings over the course of a month, and then at the beginning of the following month your earnings are finalized and posted to your balance on your Payment history. Your Payment history is updated to indicate the progress of your payments. You’ll see line items added and updated throughout the month as your earnings are finalized and then issued for payment If your balance exceeds the payment threshold and you have no payment holds.Currently, your revenue haven’t updated yet. Please allow few more days for this to update. i;m waiting 60 days my youtube earn 700$ but not update in adsense all feature is enable ling proper please help atreyu

    Hello Harsh,

First of thanks a lot for giving such wonderful blog Shoutmeloud. By following shoutme guides I have created my WordPress blog “techthings.org” and also I am getting google Adsense approval in just 2 days. it’s all because of shoutmeloud guidance.
But now I am struggling with google Adsense earning. my blog is on Linux technology and tutorials. At one place I read the technical blog will not earn more money through Adsense.

So I want your review on this. and guidance to increase traffic on technical blogs.

    Your help is really appreciated.

    Thank You

    1. Kal

I have not been approved yet for adsense but can I still upload my videos and earn money and then when I get approved and qualify (hit the $100 mark) earn money or do you have to wait to get approved before uploading videos?

Also do you still earn money if you get views anywhere else for your youtube video like on facebook, etc?

    hi
i made my adsense account by youtube . After that i started using blogger . After posting a lot of things blogger notified me saying im eligible to apply for adsense. After that i linked the same adsense account that i used for youtube . Now the ads only is shown in youtube . anyway to get ads work on both youtube and blogger. i even placed the adsence code in my blog, 8 days over still ads showing blank ?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hey Ram,

Youtube is an hosted account. If you want to run ads on non hosted account. you need to upgrade your account. Sign into your AdSense account.
Go to settings>“Access and authorization” section and select Site authorization. On the “Show ads on other websites” page that appears, enter the URL of the site where you want to show ads.and submit the application. Now, add Adsense code to your website and wait for approval.

Hello Harsh, I am having trouble in Adsense approval. I got domain back in 2014 and start working but due to some reasons i stopped working. Now again in July 2016, I start working on my blog. although traffic is still very low but its an active blog. Yesterday I applied for Adsense but they immediately rejected in just 1 hour. It seems there is a major issue in my blog. Can you guide me what should I do now?

      1. Muhammad Hassib

Hello Harsh, This is the reason told by Google:

It’s important for sites displaying Google ads to offer significant value to the user. As a publisher, you must provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.

    Hello Harsh,

As I am seeing on every forum, they all saying that I need to place ad code on my website to get aproval but since I sign up for adsense, I am just seeing message is “An AdSense account does not exist for this login, as your application is currently in review. Within a week of your application date, we’ll review your application and follow-up with you via email. Once you are approved to join AdSense, you’ll be able to log in to your account and get started.”

How could I place the ad code, as I am seeing this. Please help.

Thanks my bro I have follow your all steps to approve my AdSense account and I got approved within 24 day old domain.
You are right visitors isn’t important to approve AdSense.
But you said domain age a myth,
I have to say you age isn’t myth but content quality is playing a most important role to AdSense approval. 🙂 $)

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hey Kushal,

Happy to help. Congratulations for your Adsense approval.

Great post Harsh.. I’m glad that my site got approved in first attempt only.. That too in just 1day… I don’t even know how I got approval in just 1 day. Because so many bloggers are struggling to get approval even after so many attempts. Some got approval after 1 month & so… Whatever I think following some basic rules & steps with professional looking blog with good contents is the main key inorder to get approval in the first attempt..

    1. adi

Ya bro even my domain got approved within 4 hours of application , and the domain itself is less than 45 days old…

  19. Generalomosco

I got an Adsense account approved on the first review on my blog after my blog is eligible for Adsense but not just fully activated and then showing “hosted account” and got rejected on the second review multiple times with the blog.

My question right now is that, can i apply with another website with custom domain outside blogger with the blog hosted Adsense?

because the hosted account is only made for only blogger and YouTube but still showing blank advert on the blog, because the account is not fully activated, according to my research.
I don’t know if i can use other custom domain.

  20. Ebube Emeka

Great post! But I signed up for adsense through blogger(I was told to by adsense), and…I saw no adcoded, infact I was told that my account was still under approval. I could not even access the account. Fasttrack 2 days later I got an email of disapproval saying stuffs like”content insufficient” and “make sure you ad the adcode on a working page of your blog”. What do I do? Is it adcode problem or… I don’t know.

    1. Sreehari Sree

The fastest way to get a hosted AdSense approval is via YouTube channel.
Have a look at that way.
After getting approved, you can link your blog with AdSense with 0 error
I got approved my AdSense account with YouTube and upgraded to non hosted now,
