Google AdSense Account Approval Process- 2025

174Shares

Update: I updated This article in August 2022 with the new AdSense account approval process.

It’s pointless to mention again that AdSense is one of the best contextual advertising networks. Until now, the AdSense approval process was simple: You create a new AdSense account, your account is reviewed, The AdSense team accepts your application, and you can implement ads on your site and start making money.

From now on, AdSense has changed the AdSense approval process and made this easy for new publishers.

Here is the new account AdSense approval process:

  1. Ensure your website is compatible with AdSense
  2. Sign up for an AdSense account
  3. Add the AdSense code on your website
  4. AdSense team review and approve/reject your website in 2-3 days
  5. AdSense team will ask you to verify your identity
  6. Add Payment information to get paid (Payment threshold is $100)

Once you add the code on your blog, that will show blank ads. Here is a video that shows how to create your first AdSense ad unit:

In a typical scenario, it would take 48 hours to review your application. Once your application is approved, it would start showing ads on your blog & you will start making money.

Here is the process for AdSense approval:

  • Register for an AdSense account by going to AdSense.com. Provide all the correct information about your Name, Address, and Website URL.
  • Login to your AdSense account, and create AdSense codes. Place the codes in your blog sidebar.
  • Ads will show as blank until the final approval process doesn’t finish. It may take up to 2 weeks for approval. Make sure you don’t remove the ads.
  • After the final AdSense approval, you will get a confirmation email.
  • Once your AdSense earning reaches $10, AdSense will mail you a PIN to your address.
  • Login to your AdSense account, and enter the Pin once you receive it.
  • Congrats you have completed all the steps. Once your account reaches $100, Google will send you or wire your earning. I recommend you to enable direct bank transfer for AdSense payments.

Though this will certainly help in domain ownership verification and moreover those who are signing up using someone else website, might find it tough to get into AdSense. If they still reject your account, it’s time to try out AdSense alternatives.

Have you signed up for AdSense recently? How was your experience with the new AdSense approval process?

Here is a video that will help you in adding AdSense codes on your WordPress blog.

    Hii Harsh,
    The adsense account approval process again changed. Now, i am seeing we don;t have to paste the code in my website when we apply for it.

    Do the amount of visitors affect adsense approval time?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      For getting Adsense approved, visitors are not a factor. Because you will get approved depending on your blog quality. It is sure that the Adsense moderator will never check for visitor count. So, don’t worry about visitors.

    An AdSense account does not exist for this login, as it is associated with an unapproved application. For more information about your application, please review the message we sent to the email address you provided with your application.

    Well written.. One more important factor that you missed was ‘Domain age’. I must say this is a perfect post for those who are willing to apply for Adsense account.

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Maddi
      Domain age is a myth. I have seen people getting approval with 2 week or a month old domains.

      1. Sreehari Sree

        i agree with you harsh.
        i got approved with my 3 week old domain.
        Full credits are on you and SML.

    Hi Harsh, I’ve one query related to google adsense.
    Is a domain with the extension .help or .biz etc accepted for Google AdSense? And will it also be indexed?

  16. Nagendra

    Harsh, i read your articles about how to get adsense approval. In that you mentioned to use Custom mail ID. But i found there is no option in adsense about that, it asks for gmail ID. So how to apply adsense with custom mail ID ? can u clarify?

    Deas sir i have applied for google adsense , my website builder is godaddy.com please guide me how to paste a add code in goddady my blog.

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Manoranjan
      I’m not sure of how to do that in Website builder. You can seek help from ask.shoutmeloud.com or official Godaddy forum. Though I would suggest use WordPress to build your site as it would be better for present & future.

  19. Miftah

    Hi,

    Google AdSense Approval is very Difficult for hindi website. I already applied twice but not get approved as my site is new. But I am Using My friends AdSense in My Blog. Is there any problem to using other AdSense code as I am not having AdSense account. Please advise how can reapply for AdSense Account. Thanks

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Deepa
      There is no problem with using others AdSense account as long as your website doesn’t violate AdSense content guidelines & policy.
